My Editing

This my editing on Final Cut Pro, I used Final Cut Pro because it is a very effective editing technique that helps edit in big detail.
FinalCutPro creates high quality video, and that is what i want for my opening sequence, it is easy to import and export. The sound quality is also really good and it allows you to work with multiple channels of audio so you can edit and overlap them. I really need the  colour correction on FinalCutPro because I shot on two different days so the lighting is a bit different. In FinalCutPro it helps you correct the problems easily and effectively so that my shots colour is all very similar.
The transitions work really well in FinalCutPro, and they offer many more than IMovie, this makes it more effective to edit on, and also makes sure that the shots transition smoothly.
Overall, I was extremely happy with FinalCutPro and i believe my editing was better because of it.

This shot shows me editing the text. It also shows how i positioned the text. I decided that I would position the text on the gate, and so it stands out to the audience. I also really like where the boy is standing in terms of the rule of two thirds. It almost looks like the boy is looking at the text which i think overall looks really effective.

When editing, i decided to use the format of a SLR, this made the sides of the film blurry but the middle of it was in focus. This made the footage look older like it was in the past which was very effective because it helps distinguish between the past and the present.

This is what the SLR format looked like when I was editing it. It looks really effective because it almost portrays a home video, this is what i wanted as i wanted it to look like a flashback, which i think in the end it did. I also like the positioning of this shot with the little boy close up to the camera and the older brother who goes missing far away in the distance
